theme customizing question

I am using my own image for the header  but I cannot find where I can remove the code for the site title that shows up in the left of the header area. Can anyone direct me please?

enter this on css #jroxLogo { display: none; }

one more thing... what css code do I use to tell it not to repeat my header image?
everything I tried did not work.  I am an amateur designer for sure.
